Almost... a) It can never be 98s since starting lights are still on and UCI specification dictates they have to be switched off 2.25s after green illuminated (IIRC). As matter of fact it is 0.98s and no countdown... b) You should not run but pedal (the whole idea is to pedal as fast as you can from gate to time trap...)

a) But you hardly see tail and BRAKING lights (especially not from straight from behind), that is nor my definition of not doing harm neither of the authorities since for a long-time regulation exists on this particular point in probably the whole of western Europe for safety reasons. You can still see the car the car with lamps above the highway every 100m, but those lamps are not everywhere. b) It is not only way, since different carriers exist that address this issue right from the start (with a bit of common sense you can predict this happening when buying such carrier) and secondly there is still something as a lightboard to use to address the issue properly as well. It is amazing that people apparently just care about carrying their bikes how it is convenient at that time for them without any consideration of their fellow motorist. Oh, and not too much consideration of their own safety as well...

a) It does not matter if it is his only way, that he did not design the bike rack, etc... As driver you are responsible to make sure the vehicle and load complies with traffic regulation, in this particle case article 45.1 of the Belgian 'Wegcode'. b) "Lightboards" (e.g. http://www.thule.com/en/GB/Products/Bike-Carriers/Accessories/Thule-Lightboard-976#) have been 'invented' to carry load in such way and comply with regulations. Yes, that requires creating a trailer plug...

Niet van plan, hoezo? Of zelf fietsen ergens in de buurt als het geen baggerweer is en anders denk ik Flanders Cup (Gent).
